We offer a wide range of services to its numerous clients in the shipping, oil and gas industries with the corporate objective of achieving target goals backed up with necessary certification.

The management of CAMSHIP LIMITED has repositioned the company to utilize the opportunities of the local content policy in the Maritime, Oil and Gas Sectors of the national Economy. The company is managed and run by well trained, motivated and competent professionals.

The company recently developed its International Safety Management System in keeping with IMO regulations for safe operation of ships and Pollution Prevention. To this end the company has obtained the necessary certification (DOC) from NIMASA and recognition from various Classification Societies. The company is therefore a certified service provider in the Maritime Industry.

ECONOMICS AND COST

The economic benefits of our clients that we take into account, among others, are Cost Control, Cost Evaluation and Cost Analysis. When we are undertaking a particular job, in as much as  the company is profit-oriented, we are also considerate of the fact that we have to limit or regulate excess cost on the part of our clients in order to strike a balance.

Furthermore, the company also endeavors to estimate the worth of the job being undertaken making an overall analysis and detailed examination in the interest of our clients; so that on the whole, the job would be cost effective for both parties. Economically, we give due concession to the interest of our clients.

The Board of CAMSHIP NIGERIA LIMITED is made up of competent professionals and well experienced Engineers. The Board has the responsibility of formulating and articulating policy direction of the company.

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer leads the Management and he is assisted by well trained professionals with proven track records and integrity.

BASIL ANAYO DIKE

He is the Managing Director/CEO of CAMSHIP LIMITED. He obtained Marine Chief Engineer Class 1 Certificate with distinction in Marine Engineering, Masters Degree in Transport Management at Ladoke Akintola University of Science and Technology, Oyo State, and several proficiency courses in the maritime industry. He has cognate experience of over 30 years as Marine Engineer with over 10 years on board foreign vessels as Marine Chief Engineer. A member of two professional institutions – International Institute of Marine Surveying and International Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, United kingdom.

JUDE-STEVENS N. DURU

He is the Technical Director of the Company. He is in command of ship dry docking, surveys and general repair team. Our Engineer Superintendents report to him. With over thirty years as Marine Engineer. He qualified in as Marine Chief Engineer many years ago and served in various capacities on board foreign going vessels. He hold Post graduate diploma in Marine Engineering and Masters degree in Maritime Transport Management. A member of two professional institutions – International Institute of Marine Surveying and International Marine Engineering, Science and Technology, United kingdom.

CAPT. WILLIE AFAHEME

He is the Ship Management Director of the company. He is full incharge of ship management. Capt. Willie is a Master Mariner with over 15 years of experience at sea. He began his carrier with the Nigerian Ports Authority as a quay staff. He worked with the defunct Nigerian National Shipping Line, Petroship PTE, Singapore. He later returned to Nigerian Ports Authority as a Pilot Grade One and became a Habour Master in year 2000. He joined Camship Limited in the year 2010.

STANLEY C. UKANWA

She is the General Services Manager in charge of procurement and ship supplies. He is the Company Security officer for our management vessels and the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. He qualified as graduate of HND – Mechanical and Master in Transport Management (Logistics Option).

IMMACULETA CHISAOKWU IWUCHUKWU

He is the Company Accounts Manager. He obtained the Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the Federal University Awka.

EDITH AKWAWA

She is the company secretary and heads the secretariat. She is also in charge of records and Information Technology. She qualified in the field of Computer Operation, Diploma Level and B.Sc in Accountancy from Lagos State University, Ojo.

OLUCHI C. UWAKWEMDIKE.

She is the Head of Human Resources and Crew Management Department. He holds Bachelor degree in Sociology from the University of Lagos and Masters degree in Human resources and Knowledge Management from Lancaster University, United Kingdom. She is the company Maritime Labour Compliance officer.

FINANCIAL RESOURCES

Our working capital at the moment is over N600 million. We have been able to readily obtain enough financial support from reputable banks and other financial institutions to augment our working capital when the need arises over the years. This has been due to the simple fact that we have been able to develop a very close and cordial relationship with such banks and financial institutions. This has also been based on mutual trust and understanding, which are basic pre-requisites for successful business.

COMMUNITY RELATIONS POLICY

The company strives hard to maintain a very cordial relationship with the different communities in which it operates. The rapport between CAMSHIP LIMITED and the various communities has been very peaceful. Hence the company has been very rationale and meticulous in its dealings with any community it finds as an operational base. The company creates and develops opportunities for the host communities.

Since the areas of operations of CAMSHIP LIMITED are mostly in Lagos, Niger Delta (Port Harcourt and Warri) and other offshore locations within and outside Nigerian territorial waters the company always regards the host communities as partners in progress and as indispensable factors as far as the company’s operations are concerned. This is because activities can only thrive where peace and unity co-exist.
